Cyclovia CX – U of A Cycling team hosts as part of a big event!

If you have not done so, check out the Cyclovia event next Sunday in Tucson. Lots of fun stuff of the whole family – pretty much a cycling festival in and around downtown.

Mooey Cross – Cancelled

Due to a change in ownership at Superstition Farms – the event has been cancelled. The new ownership has a different direction for the property and cyclocross is not part of the program.

Mark and Matt looked for a new venue – one that made sense competitively, operationally, financially and date-wise.

Many thanks to Matt and Mark for all their hard work in support of the Series – could not do it without them, Joey at the U of A and Josh.

AZ CROSS Barrier 1

AZ CROSS #2 – Absolute Bikes Flagstaff Frenzy

Registration is open:

http://arizonareg.com/viewevent.php?EC=159

And remains open right up through event day – registration closes 15 minutes before your scheduled start.
On-site registration and packet pick-up opens at 7:30 a.m.

New venue – http://coconino.az.gov/index.aspx?nid=279
Fort Tuthill County Park – link above. There is some minor road construction near the entrance to the Park. Give yourself at least two hours from Phoenix metro area. Google Maps says Exit 337 from I-17 N. The Park is located across the I-17 from the airport in Flagstaff. Turn left from the exit coming north on the 1-17.

Look for the AZ CROSS arrows to get you to the venue. The race will be at the horse track – look for the grandstands. Not a ton of elevation change on this course – but it will be technical – technical meaning twisty and turny. A few long power straights – and the surface is a mix of dirt, gravel and improved horse track surface. Maybe a sand box…..

Weather looks good so far – but be prepared for anything.

Absolute Bikes will be on-site for neutral support.
