Tribute to the 2009 State Champions

Greetings! Jarrod here, Webmaster for azCROSS.com. I wanted to share some digital art I created from photos I took out at the state champ race December 19th. Our new Arizona State Champs worked hard for their victories and I thought it would be neat to spruce up their pics and draw some attention to them. So, enjoy!

A special message to all the racers, spectators and supporters that made 2009 an awesome year for ‘cross here in AZ:

It seems like just yesterday we were in Flagstaff for a wonderful double cyclocross race weekend at Sin Agua high school. In reality that weekend was 8 weeks ago and we have had 4 more races in the meantime. The season has come to a close though and we now have to return to the mundane racing of road or mountain bikes .

Thank you very much Steve McNamee of Artisan Prosthetics for helping to make the cyclocross season possible as well as Tribe Multisport, Rooly glasses and Hammer Nutrition for the product, support and prizes. A big thank you to everyone who came out and raced this season. We hope to see you back next year with a friend or two in tow so we can spread the joy that is cyclocross racing.
