The return of the Farm.

After a year hiatus, we are excited to return November 10 to Mother Nature’s Farm

The Farm is one of the more popular courses/venue in the Series, and it is one of the most $$ to gain access to – almost 2-3 times average rental fees at other facilities.

That’s where Jetset Racing steps in, and helps make the dream of a return come true. Thanks, Jetset.

And in combination with Global Bikes, Saturday November 10 should be a fantastic day of racing. Bring the family, enjoy the racing, visit the farm animals, and retail store.

Registration.

GLOBE re-scheduled to NOVEMBER 4

2018 AZ CROSS Series GlobeNOV4

AZ CROSS Series #1 – Flat Tire Cross is re-scheduled to November 4.

All registrations will be transferred to the new event date.

The forecasted conditions on Saturday left us (the City of Globe, USA Cycling Officials, and the Series) no real good choices. The options were to find another venue for Saturday (we called Gilbert, and Phoenix Parks), re-schedule the event to another date in Globe or cancel the event entirely.

Re-scheduling was best for both the City of Globe – they love the event in Globe – and the Series. A special thanks to City staff – particularity Scott in Parks, and John in Facilities, for their time and effort in working through the options. Having  a partner like the City of Globe is awesome!

We appreciate your understanding, flexibility and support – please mark your calendars for November 4 in Globe!

Weather for Saturday and Event Schedule

2018 AZ CROSS Series Globew4

Ladies – please note that the last race of the day features PRO/1/2/3/4 WOMEN – equal cash purse of $150.00 4 deep – $65/$45/$25/$15. Must have a minimum number of starters to pay out 4 deep. As of this morning, we have two (2) registered to race for that category.

The forecast has reversed once again – predicting over 1” of rain on Saturday with thunderstorms – and close to 1.5” in the next two days.

Note the procedure on lightning – we will need to delay any race if lightning is detected in the area – safety first.

WEATHER RELATED INCIDENTSAZ CROSS

Additionally, we may modify the course on Friday, in anticipation of Saturdays rain, to stay off of areas identified by City of Globe Parks staff as sensitive – baseball fields

While this may seem like perfect cyclocross weather, we need to be most concerned about participant safety and City of Globe resource damage.

Of course, we will continue to monitor the forecast throughout the day today, and early tomorrow,  before we head up to Globe to begin set-up at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Thank you for your support!
